Coastline - Cabernet Sauvignon @@@@ (4 corks)

Retails: $8.99 (Total Wine)

Coastline's Cabernet Sauvignon actually has quite the informative label. As the name implies, Coastline Cellars is all about its coastal California location: the fertile valleys caressing the Pacific ocean, the sweet breath of the ocean creating the perfect atmosphere to cultivate grapes...to me it sounds like prime real estate.

It also mentions something about Franciscan Friars being the first to cultivate grapes here...not sure if this is factual, I'll have to consult Wikipedia later...

Let's get down to taste: definitely heavy on the plum flavors, slight peppery taste with a hint of dryness in the finish. A very flavorful wine, it will absolutely overpower delicate flavors, however, it's the perfect compliment to a hard day's work. My honey had a glass waiting for me when I returned home today, I knew there was a reason I kept him around. Today is Tuesday. All I have to say is forget Mondays as being the hardest, I think Tuesdays are the new Mondays. Here's to wine, the perfect apres travaille aperitif.
